John Morada

John Morada comes from a diplomatic family and spent his early years visiting embassies on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC. His undergraduate time at The American University became the catalyst for seeing the world as a colorful myriad of cultures and conversations. Taking this in to his career, John spent time advising pro bono at Ashoka and Silicon Valley Education Foundation. Accumulating this experience to give back to the families of Oakland and Aurum Prep is an honor he holds truest in his heart. Now working in technology and living in Silicon Valley, he enjoys the art of diplomacy in the business development negotiations he leads for a multi-million, multi-national corporation. His technical background, business acumen and international experience give John the advantages to navigate most conversations with executives. He subscribes to continuous learning having received his MBA in 2013 when his peers' careers are accelerating. The diversity in thinking affords him perspectives he wants to contribute to Aurum Prep Academy. When not in the office, John spends time advising several startup companies, is an AU Alumni Board member, and volunteers as a Junior Achievement mentor at this kid's school."
